Household packaging
Since the beginning of 2015, the classification of packaging into household or commercial packaging is required.
This is to ensure that each packaging also adequately covers the actual costs incurred in subsequent disposal. Correct allocation to the correct category is therefore unavoidable.
Household packaging
Household packaging is defined as packaging (except those made of paper) that meets the following criteria:
- Area less than or equal to 1.5m²,
- Hollow bodies (= e.g. bottles, composite beverage cartons, canisters, cans) with nominal volume less than or equal to 5 liters,
- EPS (= e.g. Styrofoam) less than or equal to 0.15 kg per sales unit
Other packaging that is considered household packaging:
- Paper sales packaging
- Service Packages
In a second step, the application of binding correction quotas must be used to determine proportions of packaging that is shifted from household to commercial and vice versa.
Since household packaging is obligated to participate in the collection and recycling system, you have come to the right place at Reclay Systems!
We recycle the household packaging reported by you in compliance with the law and thus ensure the licensing of your packaging.
