In exceptional cases, the packaging you place on the market may not be subject to licensing. Namely, if they are filled with certain hazardous substances.

This packaging may not subsequently be placed in the “conventional” packaging collection, but must be handed over to specially approved disposal companies for (thermal) recycling.

This is the only way to ensure that no unwanted pollutants enter the recycling loop of recyclable materials.

A list of substances that fall into this category is currently being revised by the German Federal Ministry for Climate Protection. As soon as this list is published, we will make it available here.
