Brief interview with our young professional Janine Klug

Dear Janine, please introduce yourself briefly and tell us how you came to work for the Reclay Group.

Hello, I’m Janine Klug, 21 years old and a native of Cologne. I have been working in the specialist department for take-back systems at Reclay for two years now. After completing my training as a bank clerk, I wanted to reorient myself and then came across the job advertisement mentioned. I found the company very exciting as I was looking for a job in which I could actually contribute. It’s important to me to take on a bit of social responsibility in my job, too.

What does a typical working day look like for you?

My day usually starts between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning. I can arrange this flexibly. First of all, I check my inbox and look at the new e-mails. In general, my job in the “Take-back systems” team involves a lot of organization, administration and communication with our partners. For example, I’m responsible for contacting disposal companies throughout Germany and commissioning them to dispose of the waste. Here we act as a kind of interface between the collection point and the disposal company. After the service has been performed, I process the associated invoices and check them for plausibility. I have also supported and worked on a wide variety of projects.

I usually use my breaks either to have lunch with colleagues or to go for a walk or skate in the Rheinauhafen. In the afternoon I have to process invoices before I go home at around 5 pm.

What distinguishes Reclay for you personally?

I like being a Reclayan. The company does a lot for its employees and is characterized by a very good work-life balance for me. There are many benefits, such as trust-based working hours and the opportunity to work regularly in a home office. Of course, the fantastic location directly on the Rhine is a good reason to come to the office to use the time with colleagues on site for new projects.
