Short interview with our executive Placido Grigoli

Dear Placido, please introduce yourself briefly.

My name is Placido Grigoli, I am 43 years old and have been with Reclay since May 2008. As head of department and authorized signatory, I am responsible for aftersales services, take-back systems and system controlling at the Herborn (Hesse) and Cologne sites. I find my job very varied and exciting. Communication and exchange are very important to me. Flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths are not just empty words at Reclay, they are central to our success. I came to Reclay in the traditional way via a job advertisement that was brought to my attention by a colleague at the time who knew that I was looking for a new challenge.

What does a typical working day look like for you?

Thank goodness there is no such thing. Every day is different. Of course there are tasks and issues that have to be dealt with again and again, but there is no such thing as a “daily routine” at Reclay. Every day brings new challenges and that’s exactly what I like. Due to my demanding area of responsibility and the management of my employees, I never get bored anyway.

What distinguishes Reclay for you?

At the top of the list for me is the collegial interaction. I usually have the feeling that I’m not working with colleagues, but with good acquaintances and friends. I feel that Reclay remains very young and dynamic. I have been with the company for a long time and have always been given great opportunities to develop and help shape our business. This is very motivating and makes the personal sense of achievement all the greater.
