Procircular presented its collective system of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in Spain. It targets producers of all types of packaging, be it domestic, industrial, or commercial. The new collective EPR system, operated by Reclay Iberia, will support producers in complying with the strict legislation that regulates waste management, and will promote the recovery of packaging to meet the growing demand for high quality recycled raw materials by industry.

The partners will tackle the challenge of plastic packaging waste and its recycling together. The strategic partnership will combine the complementary strengths and capabilities of both players in the plastics recycling value-chain, starting with Germany The agreement secures plastic waste from Reclay for Borealis to convert and revalorise in high-quality recyclate materials.
